A self-contained mobile bench to study Kaplan turbine characteristics. Direct coupling generator with clutch to simulate actual turbine generator operation; voltmeter, ammeter, wattmeter. Power, heads, and speeds are measured by self-cooling prony brake with spring balance or generator output. Kaplan turbine 1500W brake power; 1000W electrical power. Features bronze runner and casing, adjustable guide vanes, transparent side. Stainless steel shaft with mechanical seal. Centrifugal pump. Digital flow and speed indicators, pressure gauge, water storage tank, stainless steel piping. Control cabinet, leak detector.
